Each issue has a theme (see below), but we are also always looking for book reviews and literary contributions (poetry, short fiction).

THIS ISSUE’S THEME: “Radical Intersections.”

As activists, we’re faced with countless questions every day: Brown toast or white? Call in sick or steal photocopies? Plant some seeds, or tear down a wall? “Work on my shit” or “Fight the real enemy”?

When does fighting for what we believe mean not fighting those around us, and when does protecting the peace mean breaking the silence? When does ideology become inflexibility, or compromise collusion? When do we push, and when do we heal?

Would a truly radical movement only include radicals? Could a truly popular movement ever be revolutionary?

If you were a Radical Movement Matchmaker for a day, which struggles or communities do you think would really hit it off over a torchlit dinner? What potential power exists along lines of contrast? Where could conflict become confluence?

We’re calling on everyone who finds themselves wearing many hats, holding many tongues, crossing many lines, or living in many identities.

If you have insights or experiences around balancing internal and external, personal and political, community and individual, ideal and reality, then we want to hear from you.
